What is S.W.A.T.?

The job of the S.W.A.T. is to assist in the operation of the camp during camp events. Jobs include but are not limited to setting the tables for meals, assisting with the prep for meals (making Kool-Aid, ice tea, chopping veggies, washing fruit, etc..), cleaning up after meals, doing the dishes and pots, moping the kitchen and dining hall, cleaning bathrooms and picking up under the pavilion as well as assisting the facilities manager with various tasks on the campgrounds.

Step out of your routine and into a world where your skills and passion can make an impact. From cleaning dishes to creating lasting improvements, the teens’ contributions become the catalyst for positive change.

S.W.A.T. often assists with campfire and recreation activities and running the canteen.

The S.W.A.T. leader will lead the team in devotions in the morning and in prayer time before meals. He/She will also assign daily jobs and designate free time, as well as keep track of the team and assist with the teaching of various jobs.

This experience teaches life skills and encourages teamwork and individual responsibility.
